I think who I am has a lot to do with my school, my teachers, my school friends and the entire atmosphere of discipline and diversity. School taught us to be competitive, to be punctual, disciplined and always strive for the best.
The solid foundation that I got in school which includes the command over English, to the simple values of life, to the importance of basic discipline, to the exposure to a variety of sports, is all invaluable.
Bombay Scottish School will always be an integral part of my childhood and my foundation as a human being! I have learnt the most about myself, the areas of expertise and those that needed nurturing, in the twelve years of my schooling.
It is a truly humbling feeling for our family that three generations have had the honour & privilege of studying in this iconic school and the common thread is the guiding principle -“Trust in God & do the right!!”
BSS encouraged participation in extracurricular activities and sports. This has paid off as sports has become my career path, having coached the India Squash team for 2 decades.
I am so happy to be an ex-student of Scottish. My best memories , my best friends, my best times have all been school days and I treasure them deeply. I am so happy to be part of this.
BSS was my second home. Under the guidance of my admirable teachers and mentors over the years, BSS played an instrumental part in paving the way for my career in the music industry and psychology. “This is where I will always belong.”
India should be grateful to Bombay Scottish since the education imparted by the school has given our nation innumerable distinguished lawyers, businessmen, scientists, film producers, actors, etc. in the 175 years of its existence.
Baking was also such a big part of my school life, and the joy I used to see on my friends’ faces is a large part of why I do what I do today. A lot of my school memories are really close to my heart and I’m truly grateful to be an alumnus of BSS!
"I joined Bombay Scottish in reception and have been blessed to have such a solid foundation that speared me into being an independent thinker with a peer group of aspirational children and parents and great clubs to widen my social skills.
One thing that helped me find my path was to reflect on my schooling days and the fundamentals that were ingrained in me during my earlier days in Bombay Scottish School. I am privileged to have studied here.
“A school is a building which has four walls with tomorrow inside”- Lon Watters. I resonate with this phrase as most of my achievements are credited to BSS, where my early years were spent with lot of learning and fun. As a doctor, I am grateful to BSS for introducing me to the field of sciences and harbouring my love for it.
